The PPT83 Glass Fused Industrial Analog Pressure Transducer is a rugged, precision-engineered sensor built for demanding environments. It measures pressures from 1 PSI to 15,000 PSI with outstanding stability and accuracy. Because of its stainless steel (SS316) media-isolated housing, it delivers consistent performance even when exposed to harsh liquids, gases, oils, and saltwater.
Inside, a MEMS piezo-resistive sensing element is mounted on the passive backside of the stainless steel housing. As a result, sensitive components remain protected from the process media, ensuring corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. Furthermore, the sensor achieves ±0.25% linearity and maintains a 1% total error band, with an optional ±0.15% high-accuracy version available.
In addition, the PPT83 responds in just 5 milliseconds, making it ideal for real-time monitoring and control. Not only does it support both absolute and gauge pressure measurements, but it also offers a wide range of standard and custom ranges to meet OEM requirements.
Moreover, it operates in temperatures from -40°C to 125°C, allowing it to withstand extreme conditions without sacrificing performance. It comes with IP65 ingress protection, while an IP67 option is also available for enhanced environmental protection. Because of this, it is well-suited for outdoor and harsh-condition applications. Proof pressure ratings reach three times the full scale, and burst pressure ratings go up to five times the full scale. Standard process connections include 1/4”-18 NPT and 1/8”-18 NPT threads, although fittings such as 7/16-20 UNF and 1/4” BSP are also offered for specialized needs.
